MELBOURNE WEEKEND INTENSIVE: 29 – 31ST JULY

BODYWEATHER & BUTOH

led by TESS DE QUINCEY
29 – 31 JULY
NORTHCOTE TOWN HALL

Tess returns to Melbourne to lead this workshop after her 2015 presentation of solo MOONDANCE alongside TANK-3 image-research work with Frank van de Ven and Monash University.

This particular workshop will focus on imagination relative to place, exploring and creating site-specific responses to inside and outside spaces around the venue.

Not only will it provide an immersion into BODYWEATHER principles alongside elements of BUTOH training, the workshop will also provide tools enabling creative images to emerge that unfold and dance the body.

As a progression over Friday night through Saturday and Sunday, the workshop offers participants a thorough introduction into the BodyWeather practice and Butoh image work.

This is an opportunity to engage with Australia’s leading BodyWeather practitioner who brought the practice to this country. Tess’s workshops are renowned as forums for exploring perception, providing insights into the body and different sensory modes of experience.
