PERFORMANCE SPACE at CARRIAGEWORKS

For the first time in Australia The Museum Goes Live is an exhibition and live performance series celebrating the distinctive, ground-breaking vision of audio pioneer, violinist, composer, artist, inventor and writer JON ROSE through his own Rosenberg Museum. Housing over 800 artefacts of violin iconography, it is a cabinet of curiosities highlighting violin stories that are musically perverse, historically twisted or culturally critical.
Amongst the collection is featured a robot violin played live by Wall Street Traders, a player piano transcription of a Las Vegas casino, a bowing machine, an automatic string quartet, a plethora of home-made instruments, a musical coffin, and violin iconography that is profound, humorous, bent, and often transgressively challenging.

BOOKINGS
Entrance is FREE but space is limited so BOOKINGS ARE ESSENTIAL for the eight performance nights (2 different shows) featuring an expanded Ensemble Offspring and dancer Tess de Quincey.
