These are my observations of the trip to the ridge. At firsti felt lethargic
and had to push myself to keep up with my group. I did this by focusing
onn my breathing and my skeleton, l step after the other, then my energy
kicked in and i walked easily. At the first stop the embodiment exercise,
had an momentum of its own and noticed my bodyresponding and awareness
following. As we continued tol walk, I worked withwide focusing of vision,
and then workin g with near, medium and far focusingto get a sense of
depth of field and changing perspectives, at the same time being conscious
of my feet placement on the ground. As the incline increased i pulled
in to just the muscle and bones working, developing a rythm that was regular
and enabled me to move confidently over the rocks. I stopped any self
talk about not being able to make it and used the energy for just walking.
Going down I clicked into the imagery of the mountain goat, as in the
past I have been height scared and that has stopped me enjoying the descent.
This time I didnt think about safety, i just affirmed I am a mountain
goatand worked with imaging my feet as totally footsure, and even if i
slipped my capacity for recovery fast. I flew down the mountain.Dear Michael
Injoyed lurching and slipping off small rocks and recovering myself lightly
and easily.. The last part ie about an hour was an ordeal and I began
to feel mildly nauseous, and I had a sense of staggering, i focused on
my breathing and found myselfboiling inside, by this time the homestead
had c ome into view = what a relief. I lay on my bed incredibly hot but
not sweating, and had the odd sensations of my hat still being on my head,
and my shooes still on my feet, I had a hot cup of tea and that made me
sweat,
