How did you
gauge your body as an average on a scale of 1 to 10 (1 being very low,
10 being very high) in terms of the following parameters during the day:-
Temperature Range: 8
Density: 9
Energy Level: 5
Speed: 4
What are your
main observations and/or experiences from the MB?
This is the first time I have ever done MB. Also I am not aerobically
fit (or inclined) although I do a lot of yoga. So....I was pleased I got
through the first lot. I enjoyed the group feeling of so many people all
working together - supporting the movement. Some of it I found quite hard
and would have liked more time to explore the movement in a detailed way
before doing it quickly. Also sometimes I felt the pressure to finish
the line so I didn't hold it up when I would have liked to do a more thorough
e exploration of the action. Still - I went at my own pace and stopped
w hen I felt I would do it incorrectly or harm myself if I kept going.
I liked the rhythm and flow and enjoyed it and pushed myself through a
barrier - when normally I would quit.
What are your
main observations and/or experiences from the Manipulations?
It was good to do after the MB and I understood where this type of movement
would come from and why. I am a Feldenkrais practitioner and am interested
and curious is why and how we move. I would have liked a bit more instruction
about some of the manipulations as I think there were some people doing
some extreme things with each other. I know we have to take responsibility
for ourselves and tell someone if it 'hurts' or isn't comfortable but
I do think more care can be taken to learn how to do some of these things
more slowly and in detail. I liked the sequences and got a lot out of
doing it and receiving it. I was with someone I trusted.
What are your
main observations and/or experiences from the Ground Work?
Great experiences and loved getting in touch with the environment in this
way.
What are your
main observations and/or experiences of the whole day?
I felt very exhilarated and lots of energy and clarity. Loved the food
and being taken care of in that way. It was a great flow of exercised
and I loved the 'walk' at the end of the day - in the cool of evening.
Great day. One down......
