How did you
gauge your body as an average on a scale of 1 to 10 (1 being very low,
10 being very high) in terms of the following parameters during the day:-
Temperature Range:7-8-6
Density:5-6-5
Energy Level:6-5-6
Speed:6-5-6
What are your
main observations and/or experiences from the MB?
Christine facilitated today's session...high energy and intensity followed
by exercises which focused on a low centre of gravity and muscle control.
There were many different relaxation exercises she introduced which really
required keeping the feet planted, the pelvis still as well as stretching
out the arms and torso. I feel the tension in my chest and head...difficult
at times to relax these areas. I liked the way Christine then took the
energy/pace of the session back up...it was manageable.
What are your
main observations and/or experiences from the Manipulations?
.Christine was my partner...petite and muscular. During our discussion
I said that I had been very conscious of handling the body - "our teacher's
body". I liked her reply - "We are all practitioners...we all learn from
each other".
What are your
main observations and/or experiences from the Ground Work?
We all chose a site along the river bed and Tess outlined the materials
we could use for composing a 2-3 minute piece. My two materials were "river
water" and 'blind memories". Standing, beginning to feel the water, small
waves lapping at my legs and lower body, on the river bed. Blind memory
with Laura gently pulled along the sand, up onto the bank exploring the
grasses...my body curved around rocks...then the incredible sensation
of birthing through the scrub...clinging and caressing the smoothness
of a tree. My frame incorporated a small patch of scrubby grasses, protruding
rocks and a small grey tree stump. My working space was quite close to
the ground, as I wanted to maintain a relation of nearness and intimacy
to my immediate environment.
What are your
main observations and/or experiences of the whole day?
