How did you gauge your body as an average on a scale of 1 to 10 (1 being very low, 10 being very high) in terms of the following parameters during the day:-
Temperature Range: 6-9
Density:5-7
Energy Level: 5-7
Speed: 4-5

What are your main observations and/or experiences from the MB?
There is diffficulty in maintaining the concentration of attention between the internal and external eyes. It is overcome when there is a relaxation into the movement or when there is familiarisation. But if there is no confidence in the movement, it helps to contentrate on a rythym. A rythym seems to syncronise aspects of the self. If there is no rythym it becomes as if there is a fragmentation of attention that is too difficult.

What are your main observations and/or experiences from the Manipulations?
Returning to exercises bring up feelings of frustration, especially when you are working alone. There can be a loss of focus on the original intention of the exercise as well as feelings of not getting deep enough into it. These are only slight feelings and I am prepared to wait for something to arrise. It is difficult to participate in conversations afterwards when little hascome out of the exercise. I am slightly frustrated by a couple of discussions recently when I have tried to understand a difference with another participant but fail to find a way into what they are talking about. There was also an occasion when I was explaining what I was experiencing and there was a closing statement that what I was saying was only a projection on to the land. Although I am quite comforable about projecting my feelings onto all my surrounds as a way of identifying my feelings, it felt like my experiences were shut down. I withdrew momentarily from the conversation and gradually had to assert myself back into the conversation. There is a residual anger that is slowly abatting.

What are your main observations and/or experiences from the Ground Work?
I really enjoyed the talk from Dick Kimber. I felt his words were like soft foots steps walking through a fragile land. So aware of individual sensitivities and yet so systematic in the way he delivered the information and answered the questions. His explorations of aboriginality were weighted with very personal and clear observations. Although I am still uncomforable with receiving aboriginal cultural knowledge fom 'white fellas' I am beginning to appreciate the mapping of the entry into aboriginal culture that they as fellow foreigners have needed to move sensitively into anothers culturral landscape. There was a genuine feeling of presciousness about the level of revelation in the demonstration of ritual entry to a sacred site without comprimising aboriginal confidentiality. It was a thin and rrevealing line that was walked. A quietly reflective day that ended beautifully with the slide show of some of our resident artists.
