GATHERING GROUND: BLOCKSIDE STORY 2008
As part of the community arts event hosted and presented by PACT and Redfern Community Centre, BodyWeather artist Victoria Hunt directs one of five sites at Tony Mundine’s Boxing Gym.
At 7.30pm each night from Thursday 29 until Saturday 31 May, The Block in Redfern comes alive as a multi art site specific performance work of action, video, music, sound and story set amongst broken walls, empty buildings and spaces.
At this free event, tour guides will lead groups on this journey of ritual, spectacle and storytelling.
Participants include Will Jarrett, Legs on the Wall and Erth who will provide workshops in aerial work, hip hop and puppetry to 50 young people in the weeks leading up to this high energy performance.
